Excellence in Concrete Awards Event

Join us for an evening dedicated to celebrating the recipients of our Annual Excellence in Concrete Awards, where honorees will be recognized with a distinguished award highlighting their exceptional contributions to the concrete industry. All chapter‑level award recipients will advance to the international competition, with honorees to be recognized at the 2026 ACI Fall Concrete Convention and Exposition in Atlanta, Georgia. Ticket orders must be received no later than April 16, 2026.

Dr. Carol Hayek, Chief Technical Officer of CCL International & lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore MD,

Dr. Hayek brings a wealth of expertise in post-tensioned concrete and new technology applications to her role. With a focus on research and development, sustainability, and structural design, she has contributed to several innovation initiatives and to projects worldwide, adhering to American, European, and international building codes. As a prominent member of the ACI Board of Directors, ACI TAC, and past Chair of ACI/PTI 320-25 Post-Tensioned Structural Concrete Code, Carol plays a pivotal role in shaping industry standards. Carol holds MSE and PhD degrees in civil engineering from Johns Hopkins University, alongside an MBA from ESA Business School. Serving on Johns Hopkins Civil and Systems Engineering Advisory Board, Carol's commitment to education and innovation is further evidenced by her active involvement in alumni leadership committees and student engagement initiatives.
